INSIDE THE WALKTHROUGH

One step at a time.

  1. Open Workspace settings

Workspace settings collects how your business runs payroll, in three lists: Workspace, for business details and access; Payroll preferences, for schedules, leave and documents; and Compliance and documents, for Records of Employment and CRA remittances.

  2. Review your Workspace Details

Workspace Details holds the business profile from setup. Use the shortcuts to jump to Company, Addresses, Payroll or Contact. Add your CRA payroll account number here once it arrives, then select Save workspace details.

  3. Check your pay schedule

Pay schedule sets how often you pay. Studio North pays every other week, twenty six paydays a year. Default payday sets how many days after each period ends people get paid. The preview shows your next four payrolls.

  4. Leave, overtime and vacation

Leave policies decide how leave is paid: paid, unpaid, or from vacation. Overtime and vacation sets two defaults: whether salaried employees' extra hours are paid or banked, and whether unused vacation is paid out or carried over.

  5. Invite your team

Team and invitations gives others access. Enter a teammate's email, choose a role, and select Send invitation. Their join code works for seven days with the invited email. Owners and admins manage settings and the team.

  6. Set your CRA remitter type

Remittance schedule tells PayHr how often you send source deductions to the CRA. New employers usually start as regular remitters, due the fifteenth of the next month. Pick the type on your CRA notice, confirm, and save.
