INSIDE THE WALKTHROUGH

One step at a time.

  1. Set up the vendor

Begin with Add contractor in the Vendors area. Enter the vendor name and choose the appropriate vendor type. T4A Contractor reveals contractor information and contact fields. Use the classification appropriate to your records. Save the vendor before creating a bill. Return to the Vendors area to manage the saved details.

  2. Create and check the bill

Create a bill for the saved vendor. Check the bill date, due date, and bill number. Add the service, expense category, quantity, price, and any applicable tax for each line. Review the subtotal, tax, total, and amount due before saving. This bill shows one service line for five hundred dollars.

  3. Choose the draft payrun

Open Pay contractor for the bill. With Pay with direct deposit selected, choose the draft payrun that should include it. The amount shows the bill balance. Save adds this bill to the chosen draft for review; it does not transfer money. The manual-payment branch currently displays Coming soon when submitted.

  4. Review the bill in payroll

Back in the draft payrun, find Contractor bills included. Confirm the contractor, bill number, and amount alongside the employees selected for payroll. Calculate payroll to review totals before the separate approval step. Scheduling a bill is not confirmation of payment. Follow the payroll review and payment-mode confirmation before approving any run.
