Hours to Decimal Calculator & Payroll Conversion Chart

HOW IT WORKS
Use the hours to decimal
- Choose hours and minutes to decimal, or decimal to hours and minutes.
- Enter a duration, not a time of day. For example, use 7 hours and 30 minutes.
- Copy the result into your timesheet or use the reference chart below.
A worked example
7 hours 30 minutes is 7 + (30 ÷ 60) = 7.5 decimal hours. It is not 7.30 hours. In the other direction, 7.75 decimal hours is 7 hours 45 minutes.
